Three pillars of photography
In photography,if we have to take correct and creative photographs we must consider the pillars in photography.they are called as "EXPOSURE TRIANGLE".These three are mutually related together.it is not easy to understand by the learning through paper or an article.it required more practical experience to understand those three concept.
1.ISO
2.aperture
3.shutter speed
1.ISO:
ISO denotes the concept of brightness,it will decide the quality of photographs and the presence of grains in the image.if the image has more grains even in low aperture that the more light is tends to the sensor of the camera.ISO is the adjustment that present in the camera settings,as 100,200,400,800,1600,3200,6400,12800.....etc.
The above image shows the variation of ISO.
If the image has the ISO of 100,200,800 that image has the good quality in view.that is it has low amount of grains.otherwise it has the more ISO like 1600,3200...it has more grain and the image is over exposed.that it has more grains in that.
2.Aperture:
Aperture is the hardware concept that present in the lens.it is like a size of gate in the lens that the light to allow to the sensor.it also control the background blur of the image. they are like f/1.4,f/1.8,f/2.0,f/2.2,f/2.4............f/8,f/11,f/16,f/32....the number like 1.4,1.8,2.0 are denote the size of outer blade.
if the aperture is large like 1.4,2.8.. the lens will allow lot of light and also the background blur is very shallow its suitable for portrait shoot.
if the aperture is small like 8,16.. the lens will allow very small amount of light and the focus is deep depth of focus its suitable for the landscape shoots.
3.shutter speed:
It is the speed of taking photos at various time.In the camera there is a shutter in front of the sensor.that shutter open for certain micro second that time is the shutter speed.it will also control the light and brightness of the image.
It is denoted by 1/4000,1/2000,1/500,1/250........1",5".....30".these are the time that the shutter opens.it control the motion blurs of the image.Lower shutter speed will allow lot of light in the sensor, that will helps to take milky way photographs.
